Community Linkage, “Tensionant les relacions de poder en la intervenció comunitària”
On April 30th, Surt organizes the awareness session “Tensioning power relations in community intervention: The experience of the Community Linkage project”, where the team will present the results obtained so far in the Community Linkage project. The meeting will take place from 10am to 1pm, in Aula’s Rosa Sensat Association (Avinguda de les Drassanes, 3 Barcelona).
The session will be based on experiential dynamics so that professionals from participating organizations can learn about the path traveled over two years in the project developed in Badalona with European funding. Work has been done with fifteen migrant women from Badalona in the identification of sexist violence, mutual support in a network of migrant women and improvement between specialized care services.
The proposal aims to transfer the methodologies used so that they can be adopted in Surt’s different work areas.

Community Linkage project
Establishing an “effective connection” between services for attention to male violence and communities of migrant women is the aim of Community Linkage, a European project coordinated by Surt with the aim of promoting the identification of situations of violence and the improvement of both prevention and support for women. The challenge has been to facilitate mutual learning between specialist care services for gender-based violence and migrant women’s networks.
Community Linkage is an initiative financed by the European Fund and in which 4 entities and research centers from Italy, Greece, Slovenia and Catalonia participate. It started in the autumn of 2022 and has closed with the presentation of the results of the process in the spring of 2024.
